Provides supervision and training to GS-9 and GS-11 Social Workers as well as GS-7 Social Service Assistants Works with the Quality Assurance and Clinical Training Team completing tasks such as developing and implementing new employee orientation, silent monitoring CSL Social Workers and SSAs special project for staff development The incumbent will be responsible for collaborating with other supervisors and managers within the Caregiver Support Line about their quality and training concerns as well as advising Lead Social Worker of Quality Assurance and Clinical Training on these same issues The incumbent will conduct organizational improvement initiatives and projects with Quality Assurance and Clinical Training Team The incumbent will develop and implement the CSL Telephone Education Groups and CSL's advanced licensure program Completes silent monitoring for all CSL media outlets including phone, text and chat. Staff will be monitored at least monthly in accordance with AFGE and SEIU standards. Collaborates with other Caregiver Support Line supervisors and leadership to ensure the improvements spread to all staff The incumbent has expert skill in a rage of specialized interventions and treatment modalities, including development and facilitation of psycho educational group work The incumbent has advanced knowledge and skill in measuring the effectiveness of social work practice, utilizing evaluations to improve treatment service offered by Caregiver Support Line. Develops procedures and processes of a clinical nature to implement new assignments and special projects Assumes responsibility for staff training and development Develops procedures and curriculum and provides training and ongoing education to Caregiver Support Line Staff directly related to clinical topics The incumbent is knowledgeable in delivering psycho educational interventions in a variety of mediums such as internet, face-to-face, telephone and other virtual means The incumbent is responsible to the Lead Supervisory Social Worker-Quality Assurance and Clinical Training but practices independently, exercising initiative and independent judgement in clinical operations. Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the School of Social Work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work may not be substituted for the master's degree in social work. Verification of the degree can be made by going to http:
//www.cswe.org/Accreditation to verify that the social work degree meets the accreditation standards for a masters of social work. For the GS-12 Education and Experience. One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills in a specialty area or in administration demonstrating progressively more professional competency and judgment. Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience. Licensure/Certification. Individuals assigned as Supervisory Social Workers must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure. Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. In addition to the experience above, the candidate must demonstrate all of the following KSAs:
Ability to independently organize work, set priorities, and meet multiple deadlines. Knowledge of supervisory duties which includes clinical supervision, consultation, negotiation with other departments and quality improvement. Ability to ensure provision of clinical social work services. Ability to provide staff training and development. Skill in interpersonal relationships in dealing with employees, team leaders, and managers. Assignment. For all assignments above the full performance level, the higher-level duties must consist of significant scope, complexity (difficulty), and variety and be performed by the incumbent at least 25% of the time. At the GS-12 grade level, supervisory social workers typically have significant personnel management responsibilities for a small to moderate sized professional and non-professional staff, including support staff and professional staff at the GS-12 grade level and below. The supervisory social worker is responsible for the professional and administrative management of an area in a social work service, in a care/product line, or multiple facilities. They provide direct clinical services with or without program coordination responsibilities. May qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision as described in the VA Qualification Standard for this occupation (only applicable to current VHA employees who are in this occupation and meet the criteria). The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
