Budget Technician
This position is only open to Current/Permanent employees of the Canandaigua VAMC and Rochester VA Outpatient Clinic to include externally funded programs including permanent Veterans Canteen Service Staff (after 90-days).
Duty Location:
Service Line, Engineering Department, Canandaigua VA Medical Center (VAMC), NY Duties:
The Budget Technician is responsible for preparing the budget for the Engineering Department.
The Budget Technician enters new transactions, processes and tracks all invoices, certifying work that has been satisfactorily completed before authorizing payment, solves problems related to payment discrepancies, materials not received, budget shortages and overages, charges in contract requirements, lost invoices etc.
, validates all fund control point balances, resolves any discrepancies and makes recommendations for end of quarter and end of year adjustments.
The Budget Technician prepares all renewal maintenance contracts for the Maintenance, Bio Medical and Operations departments.
