Responsible for leading, coordinating, monitoring, and maintaining the credentialing and re-credentialing process.
Facilitates all aspects of medical staff credentialing, including initial appointment, reappointment, expirables process, as well as clinical privileging for medical staff.
Ensures interpretation and compliance with the appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies, while developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the statues and laws relating to credentialing.
Responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the credentialing database system and related applications.
Required Job Specific Competencies:
Demonstrates skill in daily communication including effectively gathering and disseminating information.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with the Medical Staff and ancillary services.
Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to applicants, medical staff, patients, associates and the health system.

Qualifications:
Strong computer and database management skills required.
Strong organizational and time management skills required.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.
Knowledge of medical credentialing and privileging procedures and standards.
Ability to analyze, interpret and draw inferences from research findings, and prepare reports.
Working knowledge of clinical and/or hospital operations and procedures.
Informational research skills.
Ability to use independent judgment to manage and impart confidential information.
Exhibits a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters.
Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
Must work well under pressure with frequent interruptions.
Education:
Associates Degree required; or Certification/Licensure NAMSS Certification as a Certified Professional Medical Services Manager (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentials Specialist (CPCS) or pursuing said certification is required.
Experience:
At least 4 years of healthcare experience with 2 years directly related to hospital medical staff or managed care credentialing.
(Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
) Proficiency with Word, Outlook and Excel Complexity of Duties:
High degree of accuracy is required at all times.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Requires strong organizational skills to maintain credentialing software database, credentials files, process of applications, reappointments, expiration lists, obtaining deadlines, scheduling priorities.
Requires strong communication skills to assist the Medical Staff, Credentials Committee, Medical Staff Executive Committee, Hospital Administration and Board of Directors for appointments and reappointments.
As well as, appropriate tasks as assigned by the Sr.
VP of Medical Services or his/her designee.
Requires strong computer skills in performing mail merge and spreadsheets.
Requires strong time management skills in to perform the complexity of duties.
Requires creativity and motivation in performing the complexity of duties.
Pay Range:
$22.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
