Main Function:
Under the general direction of the Director of Laboratory Services, and with considerable latitude of independent judgement, the Phlebotomy Supervisor provides day to day oversight of the individuals responsible for the collection of laboratory blood specimens and specimen processing.
This position will work closely with the laboratory management team to ensure excellent customer service across all client facing activities.
The Phlebotomy Supervisor will maintain knowledge of all FFTH policies, products, services and regulatory requirements to insure optimum business and regulatory compliance.
This supervisor provides direct supervision to the clinical service technicians.
This supervisor also provides indirect supervision and guidance to other associates as it relates to phlebotomy.
The Phlebotomy Supervisor will ensure standardized training for with regards to phlebotomy and specimen processing.
He/she will also provide general customer service training to all that interact with clients/customers.
The Phlebotomy Supervisor will be responsible for the education, training and competency programs for associates performing phlebotomy within the health system.
The Phlebotomy Supervisor will be the direct contact for phlebotomy issues and concerns.
The Phlebotomy Supervisor in conjunction with the Laboratory Management Team will respond to patient complaints and monitor customer satisfaction.
This supervisor will be responsible for the customer satisfaction scores of the team, kronos, discipline, growth of associates, performance evaluations, expense/productivity control and quality improvement.
The Phlebotomy Supervisor will utilize his/her team and grow associates in order to engage the team in accomplishing daily tasks and meeting the goals of the department and the health system.
Qualifications:
(Licenses, Certifications) Valid NYS driver's license and ability to pass LENS clearance for insurance Education:
Associate required Bachelor's degree preferred
Experience:
Required minimum 4 years phlebotomy experience Experience with LIS and HIS systems Project management experience desired Experience training new personnel preferred Supervisor experience preferred Pay Range:
$25.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
