Canandaigua and/or Rochester, NY SUMMARY The Associate Director of Development:
Volunteer Engagement and Fundraising is responsible for the recruitment, coordination, and overall experience of GRHFH volunteers with a focus on donor volunteer groups, coalitions, and the like.
This position requires the excellent written/verbal communication including the ability to speak publicly in various settings, work collaboratively across departments and various stakeholder groups, and prioritize and execute in a fast-paced office environment, all while remaining donor-centered and embracing/reflecting the mission and vision of GRHFH.
KEY AREAS OF
Responsibilities:
Manage volunteer coordinator(s) and serve as GRHFH lead in recruitment, retention, coordination, scheduling, and documentation for volunteer/donor engagement opportunities to facilitate growth in volunteer numbers and fundraising dollars Manage house sponsor/philanthropic volunteer groups such as:
Greater Rochester Interfaith Builders, Women Build, Leader's Build, and other organizations seeking to align their volunteer activities with Habitat's work including facilitation of Framing Frenzies, and a variety of volunteer fundraising events/initiatives Act as liaison and manage volunteer/donor engagement opportunities including Hammer & Saw, Office, ReStore, Committees, and other volunteer groups Work with Director of Development & Marketing to create, implement, and report out on a comprehensive plan to achieve volunteer/donor engagement program objectives, including metrics on volunteer/donor acquisition, retention, and fundraising revenue.
Provide leadership, structure, processes, and guidance to volunteer committees to help achieve goals of each program Work in partnership with Director of Development & Marketing and the Development team to identify and address barriers to performance and adherence to organizational goals Raise community awareness of Habitat's mission and its programs through speaking engagements, media, build day meet and greets, lunch & learns, and other initiatives In partnership with the Communications & Marketing Manager, interface with and implement volunteer/donor digital communications including website, email, social media, crowdfunding platforms, newsletters, and calendars Additional
Responsibilities:
Serve as key support staff to Director of Development & Marketing.
Act as an ambassador and public face to bring to life the mission, vision, and values of GRHFH in all aspects of job performance.
Serve on several internal and community-based committees that relate to the successful performance of this position.
Actively participate in media, fundraising, and celebration/recognition events.
Other duties as assigned by Director of Development & Marketing KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Suite - including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Experience with fundraising software, Giveffect software experience preferred.
Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn & YouTube preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in volunteer management preferred.

years of experience in fundraising highly preferred.
Reliable transportation with ability to travel throughout Monroe, Ontario, and Wayne County for occasional meetings/events.
