The appointee will be responsible for providing psychological services to developmentally disabled individuals who reside in State Operated Residential Programs. Job duties include:
1. Assess individuals in 4 IRAs and develop appropriate interventions:
Behavior Support Plans, Medication Monitoring Plans, Behavioral Guidelines, and Functional Assessments. Provide consultation to Day Programs. 2. Provide staff at group homes and day programs with training on implementation of interventions. 3. Provide assessments, counseling and specialized therapy to individuals on caseload as needed. 4. Provide strategies to staff to teach replacement behaviors to improve individuals' skill levels. 5. Participate actively in Psychiatric Consults, consultations with clinical experts, ISP and QLR meetings. 6. Ensure compliance with 633.16 Regulations for Person Centered Care. 7. Train staff in SCIP-R/PROMOTE as requested. 8. Participate in Psychology Department activities and agency committees as requested.

Candidates must be reachable for appointment from the current Civil Service eligible list; OR have one year of permanent service as an Associate Psychologist and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be in a title deemed appropriate for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Associate Psychologist is a continuous recruitment examination. Candidates who are not on the eligible list may apply for this position and if appointed, will receive a temporary appointment. Psychology experience in a clinical setting is considered to be any direct care experience with individuals, families, or groups in a hospital, clinic, facility, private practice, or correctional setting under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist. Qualifying experience must primarily include performing psychological evaluations or assessment tests, psychological diagnostic testing, developing psychological treatment plans, providing psychological counseling and treatment in one or more of the following areas:

Experience in administration, administrative services, administrative oversight, training, special education, behavior specialist, habilitation specialist, project management, research, or primarily supervisory experience. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
